<p>This descriptive study aimed to evaluate the quality of life and safety of patients receiving medical cannabis oil at Soeng Sang Hospital, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The sample consisted of 161 eligible patients who attended the medical cannabis clinic from August 26, 2021, to September 30, 2024. The study included patients who met the inclusion criteria and received at least one follow-up visit at Soeng Sang Hospital, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Data were collected retrospectively from the HOSxP system, C-MOPH data recording forms, and interviews with patients or caregivers.</p> <p>The results of the study showed that most patients were female (71.43%), the mean age was 59.68 ± 13 years. The most common conditions treated were pain (66.53%), cancer (22.41%), insomnia (7.51%), terminally ill (3.12%), and numbness (0.11%). Cannabis oil significantly improved the quality of life. The EQ-5D-5L Health-Related Quality of Life questionnaire measured utility values before and after receiving cannabis oil, which were 0.72 ± 0.29 and 0.89 ± 0.19, (<em>p</em> < 0.05) and improved all five health dimensions. Regarding safety of medical cannabis oil use, most patients maintained their blood pressure and heart rate levels. Laboratory results, including liver function tests, kidney function tests remained unchanged. Data on adverse events occurring in patients receiving cannabis oil, which was used according to the indications, were analyzed using the Naranjo’s algorithm. Only nine patients experienced side effects 5 patients experienced dizziness, 2 patients experienced dry mouth, 1 patient experienced palpitations, and 1 patient experienced fatigue. The majority (152 patients) experienced no side effects from cannabis oil use.</p> <p>Recommendations: The results of this study indicate that medical cannabis oil use improves patient quality of life and safety. Therefore, increased use of medical cannabis should be promoted.</p>Prangchanok Panneat

<p>This Research and Development (R&D) study aimed (1) to examine the existing model of methadone services provided through harm reduction centers in Chiang Rai Province, and (2) to develop an improved service model that is appropriate for the local context. The research employed in-depth interviews, non-participatory observation, and data triangulation.</p> <p>The study participants consisted of 10 staff members or network personnel from Drop-in centers and 30 individuals with opioid dependence who were receiving services at Drop-in centers in Chiang Rai Province. Data were collected using structured interview forms developed by the researchers. Descriptive statistics including percentages, means, and standard deviations were used for data analysis.</p> <p>The findings revealed that the existing methadone service model in drug reduction centers in Chiang Rai Province emphasized the harm reduction concept, focusing on reaching drug users without the sole goal of abstinence, but rather for safer living and improved quality of life. The developed methadone service model thus focuses on flexibility to align with the context of service users and the work of Drop-in center staff networks within the local service areas. It promotes the integration and linkage of service systems into healthcare facilities to establish a One Stop Service. This integrated service includes Drug addiction treatment, screening for HIV, Hepatitis C, Hepatitis B, Sexually Transmitted Infections, and Tuberculosis. Furthermore, the model strengthens the connection between community hospitals and Drop-in centers by integrating treatment and rehabilitation to expand access to addiction services for drug users. The improved service system supports both onsite and digital service delivery through computer-based platforms and mobile applications, enabling timely coordination and data sharing across service units. This enhances overall efficiency, standardizes operations, improves network collaboration, and increases the convenience, speed, and responsiveness of services, thus building greater trust and confidence among service users.</p>Arunpat Amornchockkoolaphan

<p>This research aimed to develop a model to enhance the potential of talented and virtuous youth under the TO BE NUMBER ONE IDOL project in Chiang Rai Province. The study adopted a Research and Development (R&D) approach using mixed methods and was conducted in three phases: (1) examining the current implementation of the project, (2) developing a youth potential enhancement model, and (3) assessing the outcomes related to self-esteem, self-management, and life skills. Data were collected from diverse sources, including youth aged 13-18, teachers, educational personnel, administrators, and project staff. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, while qualitative data were analyzed through content analysis and triangulation to ensure data validity and reliability.</p> <p>The findings showed that: (1) The Chiang Rai TO BE NUMBER ONE IDOL project exhibited strengths in structured training processes such as the “Training for Leader” and “Pre-IDOL Camp,” which effectively addressed adolescent needs. (2) The developed model, titled “The Ultimate Leader Program”, focused on holistic youth development encompassing both competence and moral character. The model included core training, “Good Child Dhamma” activities, and the “Play - Learn - Change -Become” concept, supported by surrounding systems including families, schools, communities, and mentors. (3) Most participating youth demonstrated high levels of self-esteem, moderate levels of self-management, and moderate life skills. This reflects the important role of the TO BE NUMBER ONE project in promoting the behavioral and mental potential of youth, particularly in preventing risky behaviors and drug-related issues. It aligns with the project’s core objective of building mental immunity, reducing the risk of drug involvement, and fostering long-term positive behaviors.</p> <p>Recommendations include expanding the model to other regions, supporting it with consistent policies and budgeting, and strengthening mentor networks and monitoring systems to ensure sustainable youth development under the TO BE NUMBER ONE initiative.</p>Suwaporn Jittplecheep

<p>This article investigates the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in driving change management to enhance work-life balance in the nursing profession. Healthcare organizations globally confront critical challenges including nurse burnout, elevated turnover rates, and workforce shortages. Through systematic literature review and analysis of leading institutional case studies, this research examines how AI transforms nursing work environments across three key dimensions: intelligent scheduling systems that reduce overtime by 28%, automated documentation systems saving 1.8 hours per shift, and predictive analytics for burnout prevention with 83% accuracy. The article presents the AI-Driven Change Management (AIDCM) theoretical framework alongside success stories from Mayo Clinic, Singapore General Hospital, and Cleveland Clinic, demonstrating nurse turnover reduction of 18-41% and improved job satisfaction. Additionally, it addresses ethical considerations including data privacy, algorithmic bias prevention, and future directions toward personalized AI and IoT integration. The study reveals three critical success factors: visionary leadership support, participatory design methodologies, and comprehensive ethical frameworks. Case study analysis shows significant improvements in work satisfaction (45% increase), reduced unplanned overtime (34% decrease), and enhanced burnout prevention capabilities. The research also explores emerging trends including personalized AI systems that adapt to individual nurse preferences, IoT-AI convergence for smart work environments, and continuous learning systems for professional development. Findings indicate that AI-driven change management approaches create sustainable nursing work environments while maintaining high-quality patient care standards, positioning AI as an augmentative tool rather than a replacement for human expertise in healthcare delivery.</p>Phechnoy Singchungchai
