The aim was to study factors associated with complications among maternal and newborn during delivery with anemic mothers. Samples were 67 pregnant women with anemia who received delivery services. Data were collected using a data collection form. Analyze data with descriptive statistics and analyze the relationships by logistic regression statistics.

The results showed that 56.71% of sample age was less than 30 years old, 64.18% of those less than 37 weeks gestational age, congenital disease was 10.45%, receiving antenatal care 5 times and over was 79.10%, cesarean section was 65.67% and infants birth weight more than 2500 grams was 82.0%. Complications during childbirth of mothers and infants included 1.50% low amounts of amniotic fluid, 13.43% of infection, 2.98% of bleeding, 11.94% of premature birth, 17.91% of low birth weight, 1.50% of infants with birth defect, and 2.91% of stillbirth. The factors related to complications among mothers and infants during delivery with anemic mothers were maternal age (OR=0.76, 95%CI 0.38-1.20), gestational age (OR=0.96, 95%CI 0.27-2.14), and frequency of antenatal care visits (OR=0.48, 95%). The aim was to study incidence and correlation of postoperative complications in laparoscopic cholecystectomy patients with general anesthesia in recovery room. Sample group consisted of 75 gallstone patients who received laparoscopic cholecystectomy under interested conditions. Data were collected by questionnaire. Personal information was by using descriptive statistics and correlation was analyzed by using Chi-square and Fisher’s exact test.

The results showed that the majority of the samples were females, with 62.70% and aged between 61 and 70 years old with 28.00%. American Society of Anesthesiologists. (ASA) Level 3, Anesthesia time less than 150 minutes, 500 ml Intravenous Infusion and surgery time less than 100 minutes were 40.00%, 82.70%, 66.70% and 60.00%, respectively. For complications after receiving general anesthesia were include nausea and vomiting was 26.70%, hypothermia was 16.00%, shivering was 8.00%, delayed awakening was 2.67%, and oxygen deficiency was 1.30%. ASA class, duration of anesthesia, intravenous fluid volume and operating room duration were associated with complications after receiving general anesthesia in cholecystectomy patients in the recovery room at statistical significance level P-value< 0.05.
Anchalee Suchada Copyright (c) 2024 Health Science Journal of Nakhon Ratchasima College https://he03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jhsnmc/article/view/2334 Mon, 08 Apr 2024 00:00:00 +0700 A comparison study of Patient satisfaction in different out-patients services of U-Thong hospital, Suphan Buri province. https://he03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jhsnmc/article/view/2267
In 2023, U-Thong hospital in Suphan Buri province has 5 Out-Patient Department services (OPD) opened daily; General practice, Medicine department, Surgery department, Obstetrics and Gynecology department and Orthopedics Department. By taking care of patients in U Thong district and contact service areas, an average of 401 people receiving services per day. Over past 3 years, patient satisfaction (PS) scores and nursing care satisfaction (NS) have continued to decline. To improve quality of patient service, we determined strengths and weaknesses in patient service and nursing care satisfaction. During January to February 2024, this study data was collected by 400 patients with accidental sampling technique. One-way ANOVA is used to compare scores and means, multiple comparison by Fisher's Least-Significant Different (LSD) test at statistical significance level of 0.05. Results showed that PS score and NS score from out-patients in every department are considerably satisfied (70-79%) to very satisfied (90-100%), (min=71% and max=93.17%). Orthopedic department is the only department that has the highest satisfaction score in all areas, unlike other departments. After analysis of the service system found that Orthopedics department has a service area separate from normal areas, with sufficient personnel for service recipients and its own appointment and hospitalization registration system including well-technical preparation, these are important factors in improving customer satisfaction. This research shows that in outpatient departments should be development and improved for new patient registration procedures, appointment systems, and inpatient registration (IPD) to have service points at the department itself or registration points to reduce overlapping procedures and reduce congestion during rush hours.
Chuenjit Borisut , Orasa Opaswattana Copyright (c) 2024 Health Science Journal of Nakhon Ratchasima College https://he03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jhsnmc/article/view/2267 Mon, 22 Apr 2024 00:00:00 +0700 Factors related to complications from general anesthesia in patients with obstetrics and gynecology operation in Sichon Hospital, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province https://he03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jhsnmc/article/view/2343
This study was a cross-sectional descriptive study. The aim was to study the incidence and correlation of complications in obstetrics and gynecology patients with general anesthesia undergoing open abdominal surgery. Sample group consisted of 75 gynecological patients undergoing abdominal surgery and receiving general anesthesia at Sichon hospital. Moreover, 88.00% of patients were classified as Class II under American association of Anesthesiologist (ASA) criteria, anesthesia duration less than 60 minutes was 69.34% and duration in operating room less than 60 minutes was 61.30%. The incidence of complication was 29.33 per 100 people. The most of complications founded were 21.30% of vomiting and nausea, and 8.00% of hypothermia. Factors related to postoperative complications of general anesthesia in obstetrics and gynecology patients at statistical significance (p-value< 0.05 level) included ASA class and duration of anesthesia.
Pratthana Sutin Copyright (c) 2024 Health Science Journal of Nakhon Ratchasima College https://he03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jhsnmc/article/view/2343 Tue, 23 Apr 2024 00:00:00 +0700 Factors related to the successful of Total knee arthroplasty among patients with osteoarthritis in Sichon Hospital, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. https://he03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jhsnmc/article/view/2323
This study was cross-sectional descriptive study.
