This study involved the research and development of a Manivej massage skill training mannequin and aimed to: 1) investigate the need for such a mannequin, 2) develop the mannequin, and 3) evaluate its effectiveness in preterm infants. The sample groups and research tools were divided by research phases. Phase 1: The need for the mannequin was explored using a questionnaire among 10 mothers of preterm infants with swallowing difficulties. Phase 2: The Manivej massage training mannequin was developed. Phase 3: The effectiveness of the mannequin was studied in 34 mothers of preterm infants with swallowing difficulties using a structured questionnaire. The study was conducted from May to July 2023. Qualitative data were analyzed through content analysis, while quantitative data were analyzed using t-tests.

Findings revealed that: 1) Mothers expressed a need for a massage training mannequin that was realistic in size, visually appealing, easy to transport, durable, and user-friendly. 2) The developed mannequin, made from natural and synthetic rubber, resembled an infant and included an electrical feedback system that responded to pressure at specific points. And 3) After training, mothers showed statistically significant improvements (p < .01) in the quality of usage, satisfaction, and self-confidence compared to before training.

In conclusion, the Manivej massage training mannequin proved to be an effective educational tool that enhances learning and builds confidence among mothers, potentially promoting nutrient absorption, muscle strength, and blood circulation in preterm infants.
Areerat NualyamNanat Thakwankaew

The purpose of this research was to study the effects of the program applying disease prevention motivation theory on AIDS prevention behavior among MSM. Pathum Thani Hospital, Pathum Thani Province. The sample group was a group of MSM in Pathum Thani who registered to receive medication to prevent AIDS infection before being exposed to AIDS germs. Pathum Thani Hospital, Pathum Thani Province, numbering 60 people, consisting of 30 MSM in the experimental group and 30 MSM in the control group. The instrument used to collect data was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and analyzed using paired t-tests and independent t-tests at a statistical significance level of .05.

The results of the research found that: 1) Before the experiment, the caregivers of the experimental group had an average score of the perception of power of caregivers, namely knowledge about caring for bedridden patients with pressure ulcers, that was overall at a moderate level (mean = 9.13, S.D. = 1.63). But after the experiment, there was an average score of the perception of the power of the caregivers, namely knowledge about caring for bedridden patients with pressure ulcers overall. was at a high level (mean = 11.83, S.D. = 1.80), which increased from before the experiment. Statistically significant (p < .05), 2) After the experiment, the MSM group in the experimental group had an average score of AIDS prevention behaviors. Overall it was at a moderate level (mean = 2.58, S.D. = .54). This is higher than the control group, whose overall mean score of AIDS prevention behavior was at a moderate level (mean = 2.20, S.D. = .46) with statistical significance at the .05 level.
Sirikanda KeereeratPunjamarpon Satjeenphong

The purpose of this research was to study the effects of a caregiver empowerment program combined with social support through tele-nursing on the behavior of caring for bedridden patients with pressure ulcers. Pathum Thani Hospital Network Pathum Thani Province. The sample group included caregivers who were authorized to care for bedridden patients with bedsores. Pathum Thani Hospital Network Pathum Thani Province, 60 people, divided into an experimental group of 30 people and a control group of 30 people. The experimental group was a group that entered the empowerment program. The sample was selected by purposive sampling. The instrument used to collect data was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and analyzed using t-test statistics. nonparametric (Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test) and statistical tests nonparametric (Mann-Whitney Test) at the statistical significance level. 05

The results of the research found that 1) before the experiment, the caregivers of the experimental group The average score of the perception of the power of caregivers, namely knowledge about caring for bedridden patients with pressure ulcers, was overall at a moderate level (mean = 9.13, S.D. = 1.63).

This one-group pretest–posttest quasi-experimental study aimed to compare the knowledge and situational assistance skills of multidisciplinary team members and caregivers, as well as to examine the caregivers’ quality of life. The sample consisted of two groups: 20 multidisciplinary team members and 10 caregivers of psychiatric patients with substance use disorders. Research instruments included: (1) a participatory network-based care model for psychiatric patients with substance use disorders who were at high risk of violent behavior. A 2-day workshop was conducted, followed by home visits over a 4-week period. (2) a questionnaire for multidisciplinary team members, and (3) a questionnaire for caregivers. The reliability of the knowledge questionnaire (KR-20) and situational assistance skills questionnaire (Cronbach’s alpha) was .92 and .91, respectively, for the team members, and .89 and .87 for the caregivers. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test.

The results showed that, after participating in the 2-day workshop, both the knowledge and situational assistance skills of the multidisciplinary team members and caregivers significantly improved compared to before the intervention. In addition, after 4-week follow up the caregivers’ quality of life significantly improved at the .05 level.

The participatory network-based care model for psychiatric patients with substance use disorders at high risk of violent behavior can be adapted and applied in other contexts with similar settings.
Puttiporn Pongnantakunkij
