A STUDY OF THE MOTIVATION TO SMOKING CESSATION AMONG THOSE ATTENDING A SMOKING CESSATION CLINIC SIKAO HOSPITAL TRANG PROVINCE

Abstract
The purposes of this study were: 1) to study the level of smoking cessation motivation and
2) to compare the level of smoking cessation motivation of smoking cessation clinic Client’s.
The sample was 226 smoking cessation clinic Client’s. The research instruments were 4 part with smoking history, smoking reason, coming to smoking cessation clinic, smoking cessation motivation was 0.70. The data were analyzed by means, standard deviations, t-test and One-way ANOVA.
The research findings were as follows: The mean score of smoking cessation motivation were not Significantly with Client’s with age, education level at .05 level. And The mean score of smoking cessation motivation were Significantly with Client’s with sex, occupation, income and underlying disease at .05 level.
