Iron deficiency anemia in chronic renal failure patients undergoing hemodialysis Phon Hospital, Khon Kaen Province

This study aimed to study the incidence of iron deficiency anemia in patients undergoing hemodialysis. and to compare the results of treatment with intravenous iron in chronic renal failure patients undergoing hemodialysis is a retrospective study of a sample of chronic renal failure patients with iron deficiency anemia receiving dialysis services at Phon Hospital Khon Kaen Province, totaling 34 people. Collecting data from the medical records of the Kidney Disease Clinic, Phon Hospital. Between January - June 2021, data were analyzed with percentage and Multiple Linear regression at the significance level of 0.05.
The results showed that the incidence of iron deficiency anemia in hemodialysis patients was 58.82 % after intravenous iron administration between the iron deficiency anemia group and the non-iron deficiency anemia group. Ferritin content (ng/ml) was significantly different between the two groups. There was a statistical significance of 0.05. TSAT (%) and Hematocrit (%) were not different.
