Abstract

     The purpose of this research was to study the prevalence and factors related to cardiovascular disease among chronically ill patients. It is a cross-sectional analytical study. A sample of 181 people was collected from the health checkup results of hypertension patients. and diabetes for the year 2021-2022, consisting of personal information such as gender, age, body mass index, congenital disease, and blood chemistry examination data such as HDL, LDL, Cholesterol, Triglyceride, Hb A1C, GFR data analysis with descriptive statistics and Chi-Square, the level of significance was set at 0.05.

     The results showed that the prevalence of cardiovascular disease in chronic disease patients was 9.94%. Factors related to cardiovascular disease in chronic disease patients were gender (OR=7.05, 95% CI = 2.47-20.11), underlying disease (OR =13.08, 95% CI =3.56-46.81), LDL-cholesterol (OR=3.35, 95% CI =1.23-9.15) and total-cholesterol (OR=5.87, 95% CI =1.64-21.04) with statistical significance. at 0.05
