Case study: Nursing Care in Colorectal Cancer Patients in Kalasin Hospital

This study aims to Comparing nursing care for patients with colorectal cancer. Two case studies, selecting specific patients. In case diagnosed with colorectal cancer who received prosthetic fistula surgery in Kalasin Hospital. The instruments used in the study were data from patient medical records. From patients and relatives from the initial stage of receipt until distribution, Use Gordon’s 11 health assessment concepts and Orem’s self-care deficiency theory were used. To find patient problems set diagnosis criteria to plan nursing care, analyze data, compare factors affecting the incidence of colon and rectal cancer. Provide nursing care Preoperative period, postoperative period and discharge planning.
The results of study found that Case Study 1, Thai male patient aged 73 years, He was diagnosed. It’s rectal cancer. It has spread to the liver. Surgery to open the artificial rectum though the abdomen symptoms relieved and discharged home. Case study 2: Patient, Thai male, age 65 years, He was diagnosed. It is colon and rectal cancer that has spread to the lungs and liver. Surgery to open the artificial rectum though the abdomen symptoms do not subside choose palliative treatment and returned to recuperate at home.
