The Nursing care for patient with cervical carcinoma receiving Radical Hysterectomy : A case study.

Abstract

     This study was case study aimed to study nursing care for patients with cervical cancer undergoing radical hysterectomy. A 37-year-old Thai female patient was admitted to the gynecology ward at Phra Narai Maharat Hospital on February 8, 2024, for a scheduled radical hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy and pelvic lymphadenectomy.
     Results: In the preoperative phase, the patient expressed anxiety about the surgery. During the operation, measures were taken to prevent complications, and no adverse incidents occurred, including tissue injury from positioning, damage from electrocautery, shock from blood loss, injury to adjacent pelvic organs, damage to major blood vessels and nerves, retained surgical items, or surgical site infections. Postoperative follow-up included education prior to discharge. The patient was discharged on February 16, 2024, after a total hospital stay of 9 days.
