Nursing care for patients with retinal detachment who have undergone vitreous fluid surgery at Khon Kaen Hospital :Two case studies.

Abstract

     This study was case study aimed to study and compare the nursing process of patients with retinal detachment who underwent vitreous fluid surgery. A case study of 2 patients who were admitted to the eye ward of Khon Kaen Hospital. To study and compare patients with retinal detachment who underwent vitreous fluid surgery. A case study of 2 patients who were specifically selected for retinal detachment patients who underwent vitreous fluid surgery and were admitted to the eye ward of Khon Kaen Hospital. Data were collected from medical history, treatment, medical records, interviews, and health assessments. Nursing diagnosis was determined using the concept of Gordon's 11 Health Assessment Models. Nursing action plans were developed according to nursing diagnosis. Summary and evaluation of nursing care divided into 3 phases: preoperative phase, postoperative phase, discharge planning and discharge phase, continuous patient follow-up.
     Results of the study: the doctor diagnosed Rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD RE) who had undergone cataract surgery. It was found that the right retina had detached from retinal vein occlusion at the retinal vein branch, along with vitreous degeneration and cataracts in both eyes. On November 11, 2023, set OR for Pare plana vitrectomy with fluid air exchange with Endolaser with 14% C3F8 because of recurrent detachment. Admitted for treatment on November 2, 2023 - November 17, 2023, 13 days of stay.
