The Development of Model for Solving Road Accident Problems of Local Road Safety Operations Center Committee, Sophisai District, Buengkan Province.

Abstract

     This research was research and development study with three main objectives: 1) to examine factors influencing the resolution of local road accident issues in Bueng Kan Province, focusing on leadership, role perception, and participation; 2) to develop a "Model for Road Accident Problem-Solving" for the Local Road Safety Operations Center Committee in Bueng Kan Province; and 3) to test and evaluate the effectiveness of this model developed for the committee. The research process is divided into three phases. Data analysis involves descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, and mean comparisons using Repeated Measures ANOVA with a significance level set at 0.05. Qualitative data is analyzed using content analysis.
     The results showed that, from phases 1 and 2, a development model consisting of seven activities was established: 1) teamwork, 2) communication training, 3) personal and team development (Life Position), 4) group relations, 5) conflict management training, 6) fostering creative organizational thinking, and 7) mentoring activities. Results from phase 3, after experimentation, indicated that enhancements in leadership, role perception, and participation significantly increased the operational efficiency of the Local Road Safety Operations Center Committee at a statistical significance level of 0.05. Additionally, the developed model directly contributed to a reduction in local road accident rates.
