Nursing Care for Patients with Atrial Fibrillation Treated with Warfarin: A comparative 2 Case Study.

Abstract

     This study aimed to study nursing care for patients with atrial fibrillation who received Warfarin. The case study compared 2 patients by purposive selection of patients who received treatment at the Warfarin clinic and were treated as inpatients at Sichomphu Hospital, Khon Kaen Province. The instruments used for data collection included data recording forms from patient medical records, interviews, and observations. Data were collected for analysis, nursing diagnosis was determined using the patient assessment form according to Gordon's 11 health models, data was analyzed, and nursing action plans were planned using the nursing process.
     Results: From the study, comparing 2 cases, it can be concluded that the use of nursing process in caring for patients, finding health needs, providing nursing care that is consistent with atrial fibrillation receiving Warfarin, no complications from the drug, the patient is safe. From the study case, both cases have different causes, occurrence of the disease and comorbidities.
