Nursing practice guidelines for the care of abandoned infants at Kuchinarai Crown Prince Hospital.

This study was action research. The objectives are to study the characteristics and problems of abandoned infants and to study nursing practices in caring for abandoned infants at Somdech Phra Yupparaj Kuchinarai Hospital. The study period is between November 2024 and February 2025, a total of 4 months. The sample group includes 5 abandoned infants at Somdech Phra Yupparaj Kuchinarai Hospital. Data were collected from medical records and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using content analysis, frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.
The results of the study found that all 5 abandoned infants had social problems, used amphetamine, were sick, and had a history of pregnancy in 4 cases. All 5 infants received care according to the nursing practice guidelines for the care of abandoned infants at Somdech Phra Yuppharat Kuchinarai Hospital. They were safe and received care according to the standards at 100 percent. The satisfaction of stakeholders with the nursing practice guidelines for the care of abandoned infants at Somdech Phra Yuppharat Kuchinarai Hospital was found to be at the highest level overall and in each aspect.
