Model of developing the potential to prevent complications in diabetic patients of community leaders at Ban Bon Health Promotion Hospital, Somdet District, Kalasin Province.

Abstract

     This study was participatory action research. The objectives are to study the understanding of diabetic complications prevention of community leaders and to study the model of capacity development in diabetic complications prevention of community leaders at Ban Bon Health Promotion Hospital, Somdet District, Kalasin Province. The study period is between November 2024 and December 2024, a total of 2 months. The sample group is 50 community leaders at Ban Bon Health Promotion Hospital, Somdet District, Kalasin Province. Data were collected from questionnaires. Data were analyzed by content analysis, frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Dependent t-test.
     The results of the study found that the understanding of prevention of complications in diabetic patients of the community leaders of Ban Bon Health Promotion Hospital, Somdet District, Kalasin Province, overall and in each aspect, before the implementation, was at a high level, after the implementation, was at the highest level. The understanding of prevention of complications in diabetic patients of the community leaders of Ban Bon Health Promotion Hospital, Somdet District, Kalasin Province before and after the implementation was significantly different at the .05 level. After the implementation, the understanding of prevention of complications in diabetic patients of the community leaders of Ban Bon Health Promotion Hospital, Somdet District, Kalasin Province had a higher mean score than before the implementation.
