The promotion of waste management by landfill for undergraduate students of Environmental education programs,Mahasarakham University

Abstract

This purposes of this research were to develop manuals to promote waste management by landfill
efficiency criteria 80/80 and effectiveness of the manual landfill to promote landfill waste management,
to study and compare knowledge and attitudes toward promote landfill waste management. The sample
used in research were 30 students of environmental education, Faculty of Environment and Resource
studies, Mahasarakham University by voluntarily participating in activities promotion landfill of waste
management. Tools used in research contained manuals,brochures, knowledge test and attitude test. The
data were analyzed by frequency,percentage,means, the standard deviation, and Paired t-test. The result
found that the performance of manual to promote waste management landfill was efficiency of 93.56 /
83.11 and effectiveness Index (E.I.) was equal to 0.7159. Before promotion, students had knowledge scores
at a good level and after promotion students had knowledge scores at very good level. When compared
mean score between before and after indicated that students had knowledge score after more than before significant at the .05. Before promotion, students had attitude score at agree level and after
promotion had at agree level . When compared mean score between before and after indicated that
students had attitude score after more than before the promotion significance at the 05.
