The Promotion of Waste Management Using Trash for Undergraduate Students, Environmental education programs Mahasarakham University

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to develop a guide for waste management promotion
by using a trash and efficiency 80/80 and this effectiveness Index, and also study and
compare knowledge and attitude of waste management by using a trash both before and
after. The sample of research were undergraduate students in Environmental Education,
faculty of Environment and Resource studies, Mahasarakham University about 30 peoples
from joining in this project. The research instruments were handbooks, brochure knowledge test and attitude test. The statistics which use to analyze the data were frequency,
percentage, average, standard deviation, and Paired t-test The result revealed that a guide
for waste management‘s promotion by using a trash had 80.00/81.33 for efficiency and
0.6440 for effectiveness Index (E.I). Before they promoted, they had a good point in level but
after they promoted they had a better point. When we compared a point both before and
after promoted, we found that after promoted this study, the students had more knowledge
than before promoted this study which had 0.5 in level of significance. Before they
promoted, they had an attitude point average in agreement level and after they promoted
they also had an attitude point average in agreement level. When we compard a point both
before and after promoted, we found that they had a better point which had 0.5 in level of
significance.
