The Development of Health Behavior Modification Model Participatory for People with Overweight in Chumphon Khet Udomsakdi Hospital, Muang District, Chumphon Province

Overweight is a global issue that many countries are facing together, which are causes of the high cost and poor quality of life in the world's population. This practical action research aimed to development of health behavior modification model participatory for people with overweight in Chumphon Khet Udomsakdi hospital, Muang district, Chumphon province The sample was selected of 40 persons by the leader group of health education in safety officers working in the department and people with overweight were joined in the participatory activities that followed the 4 processed of the cycle: Plan, Action, Observation, and Refection. The study was conducted during August 2022 until October 2022. The data collection was used the multi-method included of the questionnaire for the quantitative data, and the focus group and in-depth interview for qualitative data. The quantitative data were analyzed descriptive statistics using percentage, mean, standard deviation, while the qualitative data was analyzed the content analysis. The results showed that the implementation of this research is the 9 steps process: 1) analyzed the problem, 2) reviewed itself, 3) workshops, 4) strategies establish together, 5) planed, 6) implemented of the plan, 7) supervision, 8) evaluated, and 9) discussed and restored data. The operations of the participants were level of the participation and satisfaction, which was increased by the following factors of; 1) workshop 2) peer support, 3) behavior surveillance, and 4) trained from leader. In summary, the success factors in the implementation of participatory behavior modification for people with overweight is knowledge, social support And there is a helper to encourage, so that personnel who are overweight to change their health behavior increases.
