This study on Motivational Interviewing to behavior change of Diabetic patients and Hypertensive patients was conducted with main objective to compare the results of Health education to the group and the single of Diabetic patients and Hypertensive patients by using the Motivational Interviewing technique and Routine management. The experimental research (Quasi-Experimental Research) by routine research (R2R) method was applied to 226 diabetic and/or hypertensive patients who were admitted to Ban Thakham Subdistrict Health Promotion Hospital in the fiscal year 2017 and 2018. The Non-randomized group method was used to divided 60 patients in the research groups and 206 patients in the control groups and by monitoring physical examination and room examination for 3, 6 months and 1 fiscal year.
The results showed that behavior modification using Motivational interviewing able to control upper blood pressure, risk of cardiovascular disease, total cholesterol levels and blood glucose levels in the research group were better than the control group. While uric acid levels , saturated fat levels and LDL cholesterol levels in the blood still need more studies to see whether there is a better trend in the research group or not. For controlling body mass index , waste accumulated in the blood , Kidney function values and HDL cholesterol level in the blood still need to develop methods for behavior changing to the patients which according to the community
