Abstract

     This research aims to describe the Program Development of the screening and follow-up for cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk group to protect acute coronary syndrome (ACS) by the participation of village Health Volunteer in the area. Paku Subdistrict, Thung Yang Daeng District, Pattani Province. applying the concept of participation of Cohen and Uphoff in promoting the role of village health volunteers. The program held two phases: the development of program components and the testing of program qualification usage. Content validity was verified by three experts, while the program application was tested by three nurses Apply to village health volunteers and patients at risk of cardiovascular disease.

     Results showed that the program consisted of three main components: 1) Guidelines for using the program 2) village Health Volunteer Participation Promotion Plan. 3) Handbook for assessing the risk of cardiovascular disease for village health volunteers By applying of the Office of NCDs, Department of Disease Control. The results of the content validity check showed that the program was properly content. The sequence of steps is easy to understand. When testing the program,it was found that the elements of the program are practical. Content corresponds to the area context. And patients at risk of developing cardiovascular disease (diabetes and hypertension) Have blood sugar levels and blood pressure levels are close to normal and the level of participation of volunteers after the trial of the program is higher than before joining the program. In addition, this program also helps to increase efficiency in building capacity. and encourage volunteers to be part of the health team and take part in solving health problems in the community.
