Perception and Risk Prevention and Control Behaviors among Laundry Workers in Uttaradit Hospital

The purpose of this research was to study the relationship between risk perception and risk prevention and control behaviors of personnel working in laundry. The population of 40 laundry workers form Uttaradit Hospital. The questionnaire was used for collecting the data. The data were analyzed by statistics of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and pearson's correlation product moment at a significance level of .05.
The results showed that Perceived overall operational risk Perceived barriers to disease prevention and control behaviors/health problems Perceived likelihood of disease/health problem Perceived likelihood of disease/health problem was at a moderate level. However, the perceived benefit of preventive behavioral practice was at a high level. Preventive and risk control behaviors of personnel working in laundry Uttaradit Hospital It was at the moderate level, followed by the high level. Perceived risks from operations at the laundry as a whole The perceived benefits of preventive behavior practice and perceived barriers of disease
prevention and control behaviors/health problems were statistically related to preventive and risk control behaviors (p < .05). However, perceived risk of disease/health problem and perceived severity of disease/health problem were not statistically related to preventing and controlling risk behaviors (p > .05).
