Abstract

Abstract

Background: The COVID-19 outbreak among healthcare workers has a widespread impact on public health services. If these factors are addressed, infection rates can be reduced.

Objective: To analyze factors associated with COVID-19 infection among healthcare workers at Kanchanadit Hospital

Method:An analytical study. The sample consisted of 243 healthcare workers at Kanchanadit Hospital, both infected and non-infected with COVID-19. The quota random sampling method met the specified criteria. The research instrument was knowledge, attitudes, and preventative practices, and factors associated with COVID-19 infection. Data were collected using a questionnaire, which was validated by three experts. Statistics used for data analysis included percentages, means, standard deviations, and inferential statistics

Result: Knowledge of infectious diseases was good at 65.8%. Preventative practices were high at 78.6%. Education levels were lower than bachelor's degrees at 32.10%. Education and practices were associated with COVID-19 infection.

Conclusion: Knowledge and behavior were significantly related to education level at the level <0.05 (p-value =0.038).
