EFFECTS OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION LEARNING MANAGEMENT USING COOPERATIVE LEARNING ON SOCIAL SKILLS OF UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to 1) compare the social skills of students in the experimental group who used the cooperative learning concept to manage their physical education learning before and after the experiment, 2) compare the social skills of students in the experimental group who used the cooperative learning concept to those in the control group who used regular physical education learning management, and 3) examine the satisfaction of students who used the cooperative learning management model mentioned above. The sample group in this research was undergraduate students. Department of Physical Education, Faculty of Education, Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University There are 56 people enrolled in course 1093205 Volleyball. The tools used in the research include 1) a physical education learning management plan using the cooperative learning concept, 2) a social skills measurement scale, and 3) a satisfaction assessment form. The statistics used for data analysis include mean, standard deviation, and t-test. The results of the research found that 1) the average mean scores of social skills after the experiment of students in the experimental group who participated in physical education learning using the cooperative learning concept were higher than before the experiment with statistical significance at the .05 level. 2) Average social skills score After the experiment, students in the experimental group who participated in cooperative learning were higher than those in the control group who participated in regular physical education learning. Statistically significant at the .05 level. and 3) the average of the student satisfaction scores from using the above learning management model is at a high level.
