Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of step aerobic exercise on agility. The sample consisted of 15 hotel fitness members and 15 hotel employees, selected through purposive sampling and voluntary participation. The participants engaged in a step aerobic exercise program three times per week for a duration of four consecutive weeks. Agility was assessed using the 6-cone zigzag run both before and after the training program. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the paired t-test at a significance level of .05. The results showed that the mean agility score of hotel fitness members decreased from 18.65±6.04 seconds to 15.10±5.10 seconds (t = 7.88, p < .05), and the hotel employees’ mean score decreased from 19.30±4.84 seconds to 15.26±4.71 seconds (t = 9.59, p < .05). These findings indicate that the step aerobic exercise program significantly improved agility and is therefore appropriate for application among working-age individuals with limited physical movement due to occupational patterns. Additionally, the program can effectively promote health in daily life
