THE EFFECTS OF S-S-P TRAINING ON SPEED STRENGTH AND MUSCLE POWER OF APD UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB PLAYERS
Main Article Content
Abstract
The objective of the research was to study the effects of S-S-P training on the speed, strength, and power of APD United football players. The sample group consisted of 40 APD United football players aged 15–18. They were an experimental group (n = 20) and a control group (n = 20). The experimental group practiced the S-S-P program together with football training for 8 weeks, 2 times a week, 90 minutes each time, while the control group practiced football according to the team's normal football program. Collect data on speed, strength, and power before and after the 8th week of training. Data were analyzed using statistics, mean, standard deviation, dependent sample t-test, and independent sample t-test.
The results found that after 8 weeks of training, the experimental group had speed, strength, and muscle power different from before training, with a statistical significance of 0.05. In the control group, differences in muscle power were found. The results of the comparison between the experimental group and the control group after the 8th week of training found that the speed was significantly different at the 0.05 level. As for strength and muscle power, there was no difference between the experimental group and the control group.
