EVALUATION OF CUSTOMER SATISFACTION ON FITNESS CENTER IN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS: A CASE STUDY OF BURAPHA UNIVERSITY

Abstract
This research aimed to study the service usage behavior and satisfaction levels of users of the fitness room at the Faculty of Sports Science, Burapha University, as well as the factors influencing their satisfaction. The sample group consisted of 384 individuals, including students, staff, and the public. A questionnaire was used as the primary data collection tool, covering personal factors, service usage behavior, and opinions on satisfaction levels. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, including mean, standard deviation, and frequency distribution. The research findings revealed that most users were Burapha University students (93.23%), with a usage frequency of 3–5 times per week (61.46%). The main reasons for choosing the service included convenience of travel, reasonable service fees, and the variety of equipment and workout programs. The primary exercise goals of users were muscle building, fat reduction, and overall health maintenance. Overall, user satisfaction was high ( = 4.38), with the highest satisfaction in service staff ( = 4.45), followed by facilities and amenities ( = 4.40), and service processes ( = 4.30). Factors influencing satisfaction included the friendliness and expertise of staff, cleanliness and safety of the facility, and ease of access to equipment and services. In conclusion, the factor influencing service users to choose to exercise was the convenience of access and the satisfaction with the fitness room services in terms of service staff, service processes, and overall buildings and facilities, which were all at a high level
