Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate and compare the effects of rhythm step ladder training on agility and coordination. The participants consisted of 22 male students from Nongchok Pitthaya Nussorn Matthayom School during the 2024 academic year. They were randomly assigned into two groups: a control group and an experimental group. The experimental group underwent regular futsal training supplemented with rhythm step ladder exercises for 8 weeks, while the control group performed regular futsal training. Tests were conducted to assess agility and coordination before and after the 8-week training period. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, paired sample t-test, and independent sample t-test. The results of the study showed that after 8 weeks of training, the experimental group demonstrated significant improvements in agility and coordination. In contrast, no significant changes were observed in the control group. When comparing the experimental group with the control group after 8 weeks of training, a statistically significant difference at the .05 level was found between the two groups in terms of agility and coordination. These findings suggest that rhythm step ladder training can be an effective method for enhancing agility and coordination in futsal athletes
