Abstract

This quantitative study aimed to examine and compare factors influencing health literacy and health behaviors based on the 3 A’s and 2 S’s Principle (Diet, Exercise, Emotion; No Smoking, No Alcohol) among office workers in Huai Khwang District, Bangkok, classified by gender, age, marital status, and educational level. The sample consisted of 400 office workers selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was the revised 2018 version of the Health Literacy and Health Behavior Assessment Questionnaire for individuals aged 15 years and over. Data analysis employed descriptive statistics including frequency, percentage, and mean, while inferential statistics included independent t-test and one-way ANOVA. When significant differences were identified, Scheffé’s method was applied for post-hoc comparisons, with the significance level set at 0.05. The results indicated that overall health literacy and health behaviors based on the 3 A’s and 2 S’s Principle were at a moderate level, accounting for 67.08 percent. Furthermore, significant differences were found across demographic variables including gender, age, marital status, and educational level. Based on these findings, it is concluded that although office workers in Huai Khwang District exhibit a relatively good level of health literacy and health behaviors, relevant agencies should continue to promote greater awareness of proper exercise practices to enhance overall health outcomes
