Abstract

The purpose of this research was to examine the health-related physical fitness of Physical Education students within the Faculty of Education and Educational Innovation at Kalasin University. This study employed a survey research design. The sample consisted of 62 first- and second-year Physical Education students, selected via purposive sampling. The research instrument was a test measuring the five components of health-related physical fitness. Data were analyzed using mean and standard deviation. The results indicated that the overall physical fitness of the students was at a moderate level. Specifically, leg muscle strength and endurance were identified as strengths, classified at a very good level for both male and female students. Cardiorespiratory endurance was found to be at a good level for both groups. However, flexibility was identified as a weakness. Additionally, upper body muscle strength and endurance were at a low level for both male and female students, particularly among females. These findings reflect the necessity of promoting physical activities that enhance flexibility and upper body muscle strength.          In conclusion, Physical Education students should be encouraged to engage in physical activities specifically designed to improve flexibility and upper body muscle strength. This approach aims to ensure their physical fitness meets the standards of the Physical Education curriculum, reduce long-term health risks, and effectively prepare them to become future physical education personnel.
