Effects of skill training program for caregivers of dependent stroke patients while Banphue hospital

Abstract

     This study was quasi-experimental research to study the effects of a skill training program for caregivers of dependent stroke patients while in Ban Phue Hospital. The study sample consisted of new stroke patients. There were 62 relatives/caregivers who received treatment at the female in-patient ward and male in-patient ward. Ban Phue Hospital Data was collected using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Content Analysis Quantitative data analysis Descriptive statistics were used: frequency distribution, percentage, minimum, maximum, mean and standard deviation. Inferential statistics for analyzing data are Dependent t – test.

     The results showed that 1) after using the skill training program for caregivers of dependent stroke patients while in Ban Phue Hospital, Udon Thani Province found that caregivers have knowledge and increased caring skills than before the experiment 2) The follow-up results of the 1-month follow-up of the stroke patient care skill training program,
