Developing innovation cath locker for caring patient with problem posterior epistaxis bleeding

Abstract

     The purposes of this research were to 1) development of Cath locker innovation in taking care of patients with posterior nasal nosebleeds and 3) study the effectiveness of Cath locker innovation in taking care of patients with posterior nasal nosebleeds. The research was divided into 3 steps including; Study the problem, Innovation developing and study the effectiveness of innovation. The sample groups used in this research were 1) 12 medical record of patients with posterior nasopharyngeal hemorrhage in Chainat Narendra Hospital during 2018-2019, 2) 12 agents from doctors, nurses, oculists, and audiologists working at Chainat Narendra Hospital in 2020 , and 3) 9 patients with posterior nasal nosebleeds. The research instrument used were a medical record analysis form, a focus group discussion guideline, Cath locker innovation, data record form and questionnaire of patients satisfaction and professional nurses . Qualitative data were analyzed by content analysis and summarize. Quantitative data were analyzed by using frequency distribution, percentage, mean and standard deviation.

     Research result: 1) After using the innovative Cath locker to treat patients with nosebleeds from the posterior nasal cavity rubber hose does not move, no pressure sores, no stringing of the rubber band and reduce pain. 2) Patients and nurses were satisfied with the use of the Cath locker innovation overall and in all aspects at the highest level.
