DEVELOPMENT OF GUIDELINES TO PREVENTION OF 2 HOURS POSTPARTUM HEMORRHAGE

The purpose of this study was to develop a guideline for the prevention of postpartum hemorrhage in the first 2 hours postpartum. This study was research and development (Research & Development).The samples consisted of 6 nurses working in the labour room and 134 pregnancy of vaginal delivery somdet hospital at Kalasin province. Data were collected by medicine record. The data were analyzed using content analysis and descriptive statistics include frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The results revealed as following; 1) A total of 29 activities were obtained for the prevention of postpartum hemorrhage in the first 2 hours postpartum, consisting of care, acceptance, awaiting delivery, delivery and the 2 hours after delivery 2)
The development results showed that all 6 professional nurses were 100% able to comply with the guidelines for the prevention of postpartum hemorrhage in the first 2 hours postpartum 3) No incidence of postpartum hemorrhage was found. and amount of blood loss after using the guideline ( =207.30,SD=84.48) Compared to pre-trial
=224.18,SD=170.14 ). Discuss whether the development of a guideline for the prevention of postpartum hemorrhage in the first 2 hours postpartum has been developed. Covering all stages of childbirth enabling a comprehensive care plan.
