The development of a nursing care model for hemorrhagic stroke patients in Kalasin hospital

This study was action research aimed to study the situation of problems for hemorrhagic stroke patients develop a nursing services model and examine its outcomes and evaluate the effectiveness of the developed nursing services model. Sample size were 60 patients receiving treatment from the emergency room, operating room, and emergency surgery ward. Kalasin Hospital, by simple random sampling. Data were collected by clinical outcomes recording form using nursing model, assessment of the patient's ability to perform daily activities, the satisfaction and the effectiveness evaluation form. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and content analysis.
Result: The problem situation encountered resulting in a developed nursing model consisting of guidelines for case management nursing services, Manual for the patient and nursing innovation. The outcome of using the nursing model was the incidence of complications during the first 72 hours after surgery, during 7-10 days after surgery and after selling for 2 weeks, the number decreased. Overall patient satisfaction was at the highest level (= 4.93, SD =0.26). Nurses' satisfaction overall was at the highest level (
= 4.87, SD = 0.34). The mean score of the experimental group was significantly higher than the control group at p< 0.001 level and the efficiency of the nursing model. Overall, it was at the highest level (
= 4.82, SD = 0.39).
