This participatory action research objective was to develop and evaluate a model for the prevention of iodine deficiency in pregnant women by participating of community network partners Kutrang District , Maha Sarakham Province. Research period Year Budget 2020-2021 Study in Kutrang District to
choose a specific research participant 1 ) a group that develops the model including pregnant women and families Public health officials, hospitals and sub-district health promoting hospitals, village health volunteers, community leaders, Subdistrict Administrative Organization officials Shop operators Total number 62 person 2) pregnant women 196 cases. Research tools include in-depth interview questions, focus group discussions. Behavior Assessment Iodine Village Assessment Form Iodized salt quality inspection report form urine collection form examination report form TSH Quantitative data were analyzed by descriptive statistics : number, percentage. Average, comparative statistics : Paired t-test Qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis method.
Results Found that the prevention of iodine deficiency by community participation consists of 1 ) Analyze the problem situation in the area. Comprehensive : public knowledge, random checks, budget support Community Participation 2 ) Strong networking in operation (Administrative Organization, Ambassador Iodine University, Community Leaders , Shop Operators 3 ) Prepare community measures by MOU with all sectors 4 ) Public relations in all channels, such as D.J.Som. online media 5 ) Quality iodized salt support system : Fund Random inspection 6 ) Encourage pregnant women to be aware of taking iodine supplements 7 ) Returning situation information to manage problems periodically. Evaluation found that network partners participated In all aspects of the operation, they were at a high level and overall they were at a high level (= 4.44 , S . D . = 0.54 ) .
