The Development of Nursing Practice Guidelines for Pain Management in Postoperative abdominal Surgery Patients.

Abstract

     This research was a research and development aimed at developing and studying the effects of nursing practice guideline for pain management in post-abdominal surgery patients. conduct research Between January 2021 and June 2021, it was integrated using the concept of the center for advanced nursing practice (The center for advanced nursing practice evidence-based practice model). The development process is divided into 3 phases: 1) study of the problem situation, 2) implementation phase, and 3) implementation results. The sample consisted of surgical patients who had undergone abdominal surgery. in Nong Khai Hospital Between January 2021 - June 2021, there were 30 people. Patient Satisfaction Questionnaire on Pain Management Analyze general data by statistics, percentage, mean, deviation.

     The results showed that the nursing practice guideline for pain management in postoperative abdominal surgery patients consisted of 4 phases: nursing, preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative. 90% of abdominal surgery patients had a moderate level of pain relief at 72 hours postoperatively. The satisfaction with overall pain management was at a high level (gif.latex?\bar{x}= 27.21, SD = 1.07). All nurses used pharmacological pain management method 80% and this guideline was effective in utilization. The highest level (gif.latex?\bar{x}= 5.95, SD = 0.22).
