Case study: Nursing obese patients receiving systemic anesthesia for gastric reduction surgery with a video camera

Abstract

     This study was case study aimed to guide the nursing care of obese patients in the administration of systemic anesthesia for gastric reduction surgery with a video camera. The study model was a case study of obesity patients with a greater BMI. 40 Kg/M² the first case of Pakchong Nana Hospital during 24-30 September 2023

The results of the study found that 30-year-old Thai woman, doctor appointment for gastric reduction surgery with video camera Doctor Diagnosis Morbid Obesity with OSA with Hypertension was treated by laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy. There is a risk of difficulty intubating. During anaesthesia, ventilation can be done using an assistive device and intubation can be done by video laryngoscope. After surgery at the recovery room, there was a lot of pain in the surgical wound. After solving the problem until it is safe, send it to the surgical intensive care unit for 1 day. Troubled, wound pain. The problem was resolved and transferred to the surgical ward for 5 days for a total of 6 days of treatment.   This includes liaising with wards to plan ongoing care.  As a result, the patient's condition improves.   Without serious complications, can return to daily life.
