Abstract

This study was case study aimed to develop a nursing care process for patients underwent laparoscopic liver resection. The study focus group was purposive sampling from Hepatocellular carcinoma patients underwent laparoscopic liver Resection between January to August 2022. The study tools were composed are Medical record form, In – depth interview guideline, observation guideline collected data and analyzed for nursing diagnosis, implementation and evaluation.

Result : There were 2 patients in this study. The first case underwent laparoscopic wedge liver resection segment 6 without postoperative complication. The second patient underwent laparoscopic left hepatectomy with gut obstruction and fever following the operation. Both patients had laparoscopic liver resection that is a complicated procedure. Scrub nurses have to be familiar with equipment preparation, scrub in and maintenance the equipment.
