Using the DALYs (Disability adjusted life years) concept in preparing community plans, Luab Subdistrict, Mueang District, Kalasin Province.

Abstract

     This study was action research. The objective is to study disability adjusted life years (DALYs) and the use of the DALYs concept in the preparation of community plans, Luab Subdistrict, Mueang District, Kalasin Province. The study period is between June - September 2023, totaling 4 months. Sample size were 48 health network of Lub Subdistrict, Mueang District, Kalasin Province, consisting of community leaders, representatives of Lub Subdistrict Municipality. and village health volunteers in 16 villages. Data were collected from the HDC database and questionnaires. Data were analyzed by Content analysis, mean, standard deviation, frequency, percentage, and Dependent t – test.

     The results of the study found that after analyzing and presenting Disability adjusted life years (DALYs) in the preparation of community plans, Luab Subdistrict, Mueang District, Kalasin Province. This resulted in community plans including plans for managing type 2 diabetes, CKD and stroke, depression and pneumonia. In addition, it was found that Health literacy of the health network About Disability adjusted life years (DALYs) in the preparation of community plans, Luab Subdistrict, Mueang District, Kalasin Province Increased from analysis with statistical significance at .05.
