Nursing Care of Patient Stroke: Case Study of 2 Cases

Abstract

     This study was case study aimed to study nursing care in stroke patients, 2 cases. Study 2 patients diagnosed with stroke undergoing treatments in the Phu Wiang Hospital. Sampling was collected from the database of outpatients' medical records and emergency patients. The interviewing and observations are used in the patients and their relatives to analyze comparisons in risk factors, etiology, signs and symptoms, treatment, issues, nursing diagnosis, and analysis of evaluation nursing outcomes. Study results: Case study 1: A Thai female patient, 39 years old, had chief complaints of headache, dizziness, and weakness in the left arm and leg for 5 minutes before arriving at the hospital. She was diagnosed with an ischemic stroke. Case study 2: A Thai male child, 14 years and ten months old, has chief complaints of drowsiness, numbness, and loss of consciousness for 30 minutes before arriving at the hospital. He was diagnosed with intracerebral hemorrhage.
