The Development of a Screening System for Disability Insured Persons at Nong Khai Hospital: Routine to Research Approach

Abstract

     This research was action research aimed at developing appropriate guidelines or screening procedures for registration of disabled insured persons at Nong Khai Hospital. It was developed from routine work for development (Routine to Research: R2R). Sample size was purposively selected pre-development group of 11 people and a group of post-development people of 10 people. The tool used to collect data included questionnaires. Record the waiting time of the agency Informal meeting, Reflexive Journal, Photo or video The data was analyzed with ready-made programs. By frequency distribution, mean, standard deviation, Mann-Whitney U, significance level .05, and content analysis.
     The Results of the Research: The development of disability registration as a result, the waiting period for the assessment has been reduced. The average before it is a waiting time of 5 hours 16 minutes, the Mean Rank value was equal to 16. The after the average waiting time reduce to 1 hour 25 minutes, the Mean Rank value was equal to 5.5, the Mann-Whitney U value was equal to .00, Z value equals -3.88 p equals .00 (p<.05). The highest satisfaction with most disability registration services is at the highest level (=4.55, S.D.= .17) including convenience contact to request the speed of service with warm welcoming. There is a friendliness, speaking nicely, respectfully, and willing to serve. There also are take a good care with an attention and provide services with equality and fairness. The provide services are on a first-come, first-served basis with fairness. Give advice or answer questions very well and the place to assess people with disabilities is clean. Followed by high levels of satisfaction include a clear signpost. The place to assess people with disabilities is not crowded. Have privacy and have appropriate assistance equipment.
