Nursing care for hip fractures Post-Operative Hip Arthroplasty Patients with comorbidities : 2 case studies.

Abstract

     The purpose of this case study was to compare the nursing care guidelinesfor  hip  replacement  surgery  patients  with  comorbidities,  2  case  studies  that  received  hip replacement  surgery  in  March – April  2023  by  using  nursing  record  tools,  Interviewing  patients and   families.   Comparative   analysis   Population   characteristics   signs   and   symptoms Problems  and  nursing 
     The  results  showed  that  general  information,  sex,  age,  causes  of hospitalization.  diagnosis  and  underlying  disease  were  no  different.But  the  progression  of comorbidities  is  different.  Case  study  1  has  more  risk  factor  which  are a late elderly and having comorbidities,  undergo  hemiarthroplasty surgery  Case  study  2, is a young elderly and has a comorbidities are hypertension and dyslipidemia . The doctor performs hemiarthroplasty surgery is the same. The result of both cases had similar nursing problems. But case study 1 is a late elderly person and has co-morbidities, it causes complications after surgery, including AKI (Acute kidney injury) and postoperative anemia. nursesing orthopedic play an important role in caring for patients, requiring empowerment and confidence in the relatives who care for them. In caring for patients at home This allows patients to help themselves walk using a Pick up walker with relatives supporting them. Makes the patient go home quickly Relatives who care for patients are confident in continuing care for patients at home. Case  study  2, is a young elderly person. Able to help themselves more. Case study 1 stayed in the hospital for a total of 15 days and Case study 2 stayed in the hospital for a total of 9 days.
