The Development of Nursing Care Regulation for Preparation Anesthesia at Selaphum Hospital.

This Action Research aims to develop Nursing Care Regulation for anesthesia preparation at Selaphum Hospital and assess their impact. The process underwent scrutiny by 5 specialists for accuracy and was applied by 5 anesthetist nurses on 30 cases. The research, conducted between October 15 and November 30, 2023, included criterion-related validity testing using the Mason technique, data were analyzed by descriptive statistics.
According to the study’s finding had positive outcomes for both the process and outcome of nursing care. Three regulations were identified, covering processes related to preparing the patient's body, mental preparation, and provision of information for patients undergoing anesthesia. Evaluation of implementation indicated that patient anxiety levels decreased from a moderate level (76.66%) to zero signs and symptoms of anxiety, with a100% satisfaction rate at a high level (=4.2, S.D.= 0.58). Anesthetist nurses similarly expressed a high level of satisfaction (=4.04, S.D.= 0.08).
