Nursing care of teenage pregnant women in the community: Two case studies

Abstract

This study is a case study aimed at studying nursing care for teenage pregnant women during pregnancy in the community. By comparing two case studies using Gordon's health model concept. Concepts and theories related to maternal-infant nursing. Community participation concept INHOMES home visits provide a framework for education. In the target group of teenage pregnant women who receive prenatal care services at the Primary and Holistic Services Group. Phuphaman Hospital Khon Kaen Province Data were collected from medical records. Interview patients and relatives together with observation Set nursing diagnoses, plan nursing actions, and evaluate nursing outcomes. Content analysis was done by comparing two case studies. Results: Case study 1, aged 13 years, mother G1P0A0L0, first prenatal care, 19 weeks pregnant, currently living with her parents, having broken up with her boyfriend. The mother brought her for prenatal care. The doctor diagnosed G1P0A0L0 at 19 weeks of pregnancy by U/S. The 1st blood test result was anemia and detected a urinary tract infection. Treated with Ferrous Fumarate, Amoxicilline (500). Anxiety during Case study 2, age 18. Mother G1P0A0L0, first prenatal care, 10 weeks pregnant, currently living with her husband's family.The husband is the main caretaker. Came for prenatal care for the first time with my husband. The doctor diagnosed G1P0A0L0,10 weeks pregnant by U/S, blood results 2 times normal, urine test results. Found a urinary tract infection Treated with medicine Amoxicilline(500) I have anxiety during pregnancy. The two case studies evaluate similar results. There is close surveillance and monitoring of nursing care in the community with family participation.
