Nursing care for patients with pneumonia

Abstract

     This study is a case study. The objective is to study guidelines for providing nursing care to patients with pneumonia. This is a case study comparing the use of the nursing process for 2 patients with pneumonia who were admitted to the inpatient ward. Phuphaman Hospital During the period of November 2022 to January 2023, the tools used to collect data include: Data recording form Inpatient medical records Interviews with patients and relatives, observation using patient assessment concepts based on Gordon's 11 health models. To assess patient problems Define nursing diagnosis Plan nursing care nursing practice and evaluate nursing results
     The results of the study found that: Two cases of pneumonia patients in the case study who were admitted for treatment were elderly. had similar signs and symptoms. CXR infiltration Lung Crepitation was detected. The difference was in the co-morbidities. Case 1 had co-morbidities, Thalassemia anemia, received PRC and had an electrolyte imbalance. He was treated with an Oxygen cannula and antibiotics for 4 days. Case 2: Hypertension Hypothyroid Asthma Atrial fibrillation was treated with an Oxygen cannula and antibiotics for 5 days. It was more complicated to care for than Case 1 because of abnormal heart rhythm problems. Both patients were discharged. The house had no complications from pneumonia. The study found that Comorbid disorders result in more complex nursing care and longer treatment periods.
