Abstract

This study is a case study. The objective was to study the nursing care of severe head injury patients with Pneumothorax. This patient is a 61-years-old man with the present illness of a motorcycle accident and colliding with a pickup truck and passing out then after recovering he was unconscious, confused, and restless. This study found that important nursing care includes reducing blood pressure levels and preventing complications from high blood pressure, preventing complications from increased intracranial pressure and decreased intracranial pressure, reducing the air volume in the pleural space to optimize gas exchange and lung expansion, reducing anxiety of relative.
