Nursing care of a patient with endometritis with sepsis: A case study

Abstract

     This study was case study aimed to study the Nursing care of a patient with endometritis with sepsis: A case studyA 22-year-old Thai female presented to the hospital on December 8, 2023 with the main symptom of abdominal pain and one-day history of vaginal bleeding. She had a history of miscarriage and had previously undergone vacuum aspiration for termination of pregnancy
     Study Results:. On examination, she appeared pale with low blood pressure. The diagnosis of endometrial infection concurrent with bloodstream infection was made. The patient underwent uterine and bilateral salpingectomy surgery. During the nursing care, she developed septic shock and hemorrhage, leading to hypoxia. Nursing interventions included shock management, preoperative and postoperative care, blood pressure support, and oxygenation. The patient was safely managed, able to tolerate oral intake, showed no signs of surgical site infection, and was discharged on December 18, 2023 after a 10-day hospital stay.
