The Nursing care for Corneal Ulcer with Endophthalmitis: case study

This study was case study aimed to study nursing care for corneal ulcer with endophthalmitis: case study. A 62-year-old Thai female patient was admitted to the hospital on January 4, 2567 (Buddhist calendar equivalent to 2014) with symptoms of fever and purulent discharge from the right eye for 2 days. She had a history of a foreign body entering her eye one week prior and was diabetic. Initially, her left eye was normal, but the right eye had impaired vision with purulent discharge.
Study results: She was diagnosed with an infected corneal ulcer and was treated with topical antimicrobial eye drops. Nursing care focused on pain management, prevention of bloodstream infection, and alleviating family members' anxiety. The patient's condition improved sequentially, and she was discharged on February 14, 2567, after 41 days of hospitalization. Post-treatment follow-up showed no complications or recurrence of infection.
