The Development of Nutritional Promotion Program for Preschool Children with Overnutrition in Childcare Center, Phibun Mangsahan Municipality, Ubon Ratchathani Province.

This research aimed to develop and study the results of the nutritional promotion Program for preschool children with overnutrition in childcare center, Phibun Mangsahan municipality, Ubon Ratchathani province. It is participatory action research. The sample used in this study was purposive sampling, namely parents of preschool children in childcare center, Phibun Mangsahan municipality, Ubon Ratchathani province, a total of 113 people and 36 people from related network partners. Compare the differences mean scores of knowledges about overnutrition in preschool children, attitudes regarding overnutrition in children of parents of preschool children, children's consumption behavior, and exercise behavior of preschool children in childcare center before and after the experiment with Paired t-test statistics at P-value <0.05. The results found that the sample group had mean scores of knowledges about overnutrition in preschool children, attitudes regarding overnutrition in children of parents of preschool children, children's consumption behavior, and exercise behavior of preschool children in childcare center higher than before the experiment statistically significant at P-value <0.05. It shows that the sample group benefited from the program and apply knowledge and activities from participation to preschool children under their guardianships as a result, the number of young children who meet the criteria for being overweight and obese has decreased from 20 to 18, representing a decrease of 10.0%.
