Development of a model for organizing nursing services for patients undergoing anesthesia. In One day surgery to Borabue Hospital. Maha Sarakham Province

Abstract

     This study aimed to develop a service management model and study the results of the developed model. Method: This research is action research . Conducted from July 2022 to June 2023, carried out in 5 steps: 1) Study and analyze the problem. Using the concept of Six building blocks 2) Design and develop a model Using system theory, 3) putting the model to test, 4) improving the model, 5) putting the model into practice. Summarize and follow up and evaluate results. The sample consisted of 18 service providers and 66 same-day surgery patients. The instrument used an interview form. Preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative periodic recording of symptoms within 24 hours after discharge. and satisfaction assessment form Data were collected by answering interviews. Brainstorming sessions and focus groups Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis.
     Result: The developed model is an adjustment to the anesthesia service model. A pre-surgery preparation clinic can be established by anesthesiologists and nurses. And there is a ward to support same-day surgery care patients. Able to perform same-day surgery, increasing from 2 cases per week to 5 - 7 cases per week. Anesthesia complications decreased to 6.06%, adding a patient follow-up system within 24 hours after discharge home. and satisfaction in receiving anesthesia services It is at a very good level. Conclusion: The format has been developed. Able to control the patient's condition and reduce spoon insertion The patient was finally safe and returned home.
