Nursing care and follow-up care for bedridden with pressure sores at home : study of 2 cases.

Abstract

     This case study aimed to study and compare the skills of caring for bedridden patients with pressure sores with caregivers and families, including understanding the characteristics of pressure sores, health literacy, nutrition that can promote, prevent, and rehabilitate to prevent more severe complications for bedridden patients. The study was conducted on 2 bedridden patients with pressure sore complications who were admitted for inpatient treatment at home at Somdej Phra Yupparat Kranuan Hospital, Khon Kaen Province, between February 3, 2024 and May 30, 2024.      The results of the study found that both case studies received appropriate, safe, and standard care services and received support in terms of wound cleaning medical supplies, air mattress equipment to prevent pressure sores from spreading. In both case studies, caregivers, families, and communities were satisfied with the services.
