Development Model of Nursing Practice Guidelines for the Care of Patients with Sterile Minor Surgical Wounds.

Abstract

     This study was quasi-experimental research. The objectives are to study the situation of caring for patients with sterile minor surgical wounds and the model for developing nursing practice guidelines for caring for patients with sterile minor surgical wounds. The research period is between September 2024 and December 2024, a total of 4 months. The sample group includes 76 patients with sterile minor surgical wounds. Data is collected from questionnaires. Data is analyzed using content analysis, frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Dependent t – test.
     The results of the study found that the understanding of sterile minor surgical wound care before using the guidelines, sterile minor surgical wound patients had a moderate understanding of sterile minor surgical wound care. After using the guidelines, sterile minor surgical wound patients had the highest understanding of sterile minor surgical wound care. And the care of sterile minor surgical wounds before using the guidelines, sterile minor surgical wound patients had a moderate understanding of sterile minor surgical wound care. After using the guidelines, sterile minor surgical wound patients had the highest understanding of sterile minor surgical wound care. In addition, it was found that the understanding of sterile minor surgical wound care and the assessment of sterile minor surgical wound care before and after the guidelines were statistically significant at the .05 level, where the understanding of sterile minor surgical wound care and the assessment of sterile minor surgical wound care after the guidelines had a higher mean score than before using the guidelines.
