Results of pain management in the first stage of labor Tha Uthen Hospital Nakhon Phanom Province.

The objectives of this research were to 1) compare labor pain in the first stage at Tha Uthen Hospital. Nakhon Phanom Province and 2) study pain management satisfaction in the first labor stage at Tha Uthen Hospital. Nakhon Phanom Province Tools used include the clinical practice guidelines for pain management of stage 1 labor and the questionnaire on satisfaction with pain management of stage 1 labor had reliability values of 0.68 and 0.68. Data were analyzed using mean, percentage, and standard deviation. Compare pain levels between the control group. and the experimental group by independent t-test.
The results found that; the pain scores of the first stage of labor in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group. The experimental group was at the severe pain level (mean = 6.20,S.D. = 1.10), and the control group was at the severe pain level (mean = 9.37, S.D. = 0.63). When comparing the pain of labor in the first stage between the experimental groups and control group It was found to be significantly different at .001. Results of the study of satisfaction with pain management in stage 1of labor at Tha Uthen Hospital. Nakhon Phanom Province, it was found that the sample group was overall satisfied at a high level (mean 4.22, S.D. = 1.12).
